Smocking for Babyface

June 7, 2018

My little girl has been sitting on the sewing table behind the machine for at least a year without a stitch of clothing on. Bless her heart, she has been so patient with me. But recently she became aware of smocking and decided that she wasn't going to be quiet any longer. So after listening to her wheedle and whine about the other girls having dresses and her having nothing she settled down and picked out a bit of blue gingham. This is the results. It has been a bit since I did any smocking and my results have never been the smoothest but it is soothing to the soul to stitch. and it got the little girl dressed. While creating this little dress I took tons of photos so that I could create a tutorial for the Babyface doll group I am a member of. Hoping to see several of those gals join in on a Smock-along.

In other news I've been riding again. Even got Bill to ride a couple of days. Feels really good to be back in the saddle.

And then a bit of colored pencil work. I've also been doing a bit of watercolor painting but that's another story for another day.

That's all for now.
